7 news. >> thank you, kira. developing news, oakland police are checking into the city's latest homicide. a fatal shoot owing curd just a few hours ago. police aren't saying much about the victim. they pound the victim with a report of shots being fired around 3:00 this morning. when they arrived near ninth and clay streets, they spotted a person suffering from gunshot wounds. victim dialed at the scene. daly city officials are investigating a crash on eastmore avenue that left three people dead. a fourth in the hospital. all of them were cut out of a car broadsided by another vehicle shortly after 8:00 last night. police are trying to piece together what led up to that crash. the second driver stayed at the scene, but police still would like to talk to any witnesses. >> any witnesses tell you about anything that transpired. >> thatafter right now. we are investigating the collision and it's very early in the vision so there will be a lot of work 20 do. >> the sole survivor in the car that was hit is being held for observation at the hospital. detectives have not had the chance

. beautiful day outside. oakland cooler 68. san francisco cooler downtown, 65. and check out the coast. it only hit 55 degrees at half moon bay so a 21-degree temperature spread between our inland locations and at the coastline. i checked this out. did a little number crunching. the average first 80-degree day over the past three days in santa rosa it's early april. all three of you, san jose, livermore and santa rosa may hit 80 tomorrow. in mid-march. something crazy is going on. we have a ridge of high pressure which is in the perfect location not only to keep us dry, that's the easy part. the hard part is getting the wind direction to be exactly where it needs to be to get us that offshore wind. it happens in the fall not as often in the springtime but it's in the perfect location to give us very warm weather tomorrow. now, as soon as thursday, things begin to change. high pressure will sink to the south. the ridge will flatten if you will. we get more of a zonal or west to east -- we'll stay dry but it won't be as warm. the peak of the heat wi

poetically across the nearly two-mile span of the oakland-san francisco bay bridge are the creation of artist leo villareal. last night, he put the finishing touches on the software program that transforms the bridge into this light sculpture. >> this is a unique opportunity. 50 million people will see this piece over two years. so that's a tremendous audience. and it's something that anyone can see and engage with. >> reporter: electricians spent four months in the wind and the cold installing 25,000 l.e.d. lights, each individually programmed to a fiberoptic network. villareal then began sculpting the light into patterns he says will never look exactly the same. it changes constantly. how do you do that? >> well, using software, there are sequences which will be displayed in a random order and for a random amount of time. one might recognize a certain passage but never in the same order for the same amount of time. >> reporter: you're inspired by the traffic that goes across here? >> all the motion, that factors into my inspiration for creat

. san francisco, oakland -- it is san francisco, i'm being told. but again, we have overcast skies. some of us dealing with patchy dense fog, once again. i'm starting out with a still shot of the radar and you can see rain in washington, oregon is drive. california, high and dry. temperatures will continue to warm under this ridge of high pressure. a little bit of moist flow at times. a weak, weak onshore breeze bringing back the clouds and patchy fog. the ridge of high pressure, the associated sinking area is helping to pin it to the ground. you can imagine it kind of pushing it down as it -- as it continues to strengthen. that's what we're seeing this morning. widespread, patchy, dense, novato and petaluma reporting visibility down to .25. san jose overcast skies but it doesn't look like it's right there at the ground level. so you should be okay. but just take it easy out there. notice it is widespread. half moon bay reported visibility three miles right now. as we progress to the morning hours, it will burn off by 8:00, 9:00. looking better. by 10:00, 11:00, it takes until it finally
